VDL Steelweld x Tarkett Sports
For this project, LOF Branding was commissioned to produce two corporate videos showcasing the collaboration between VDL Steelweld and their client Tarkett Sports. The first video documents the entire building process of an innovative machine that prepares stadium grass fields by injecting artificial yarn — a technical, detailed production used primarily at trade shows. The second video serves as a promotional testimonial, featuring an on-site interview with Tarkett Sports that highlights the partnership and the quality of VDL Steelweld’s engineering. Both videos were filmed on location at VDL Steelweld’s manufacturing facilities and at Excelsior Stadium in Rotterdam.
On top social media content for LinkedIn was created to further promote the successful partnership.

Challenges
The main challenge for VDL Steelweld was to communicate a complex, highly technical manufacturing process in a way that remained clear, engaging, and accessible to both industry professionals and potential new clients. They also wanted to showcase the successful collaboration with Tarkett Sports in a way that felt authentic and visually compelling.
Solution
To meet these goals, we developed a two-part video concept tailored to the client’s needs:
1. A testimonial video: centred around an interview with Tarkett Sports' project lead, filmed in the stadium environment to visually connect the end-use context of the machine with the production process, using smooth tracking shots, drone footage, and macro details to capture both scale and precision.
2. A process-focused video: shot from start to finish, following the construction and testing of the machine. We used smooth tracking shots, close-up details, and dynamic framing to capture both scale and precision throughout the manufacturing process.
We combined on-site industrial cinematography with narrative editing, colour grading, and sound design to ensure a cinematic yet informative result. The final delivery included both full-length and short versions for trade shows, online use, and social media.
Impact
The videos have since become key communication tools for VDL Steelweld, enhancing their presence at trade fairs and strengthening client relationships.
The process video effectively demonstrates their engineering capabilities, helping VDL Steelweld attract new inquiries and stand out at industry events.
The testimonial video builds trust and credibility by putting their client’s satisfaction front and centre.
The dual approach allowed the company to leverage a single production for multiple purposes — B2B marketing, lead generation, recruitment, and branding — maximising long-term value.
Together, the two films showcase VDL Steelweld’s innovation, precision, and collaborative spirit, while also underlining the tangible results of their partnership with Tarkett Sports.
